Text Box: SPILSBY SHOW 6. SUNDAY 13TH JULY 2008 - ENTRY NOW OPEN. Welcome to a page dedicated to the Spilsby Show 6. The Road Race began life in 1998. Originally planned as a fun run, it has grown into a fully affiliated race, with last year's event attracting a record number of entrants. This year marks the TENTH anniversary of the first race, let's hope we can mark this occasion with a record breaking field of athletes. The race has become one of the most popular attractions at the Show and continues to go from strength to strength. The 2007 race attracted a wide variety of runners, of varying abilities, from all over the region. The Road Race route was altered slightly last year, however, it still turned out to be a gruelling run. As the route had changed slightly, the course had to be measured again to make sure it complied with the relevant rules. Competitors were also able to enter on the day. The 2008 race takes place on Sunday 13th July. ENTRANCE/PARKING INFORMATION FOR ROAD RACE RUNNERS: ORANGE PASS - ERESBY AVENUE ENTRANCE, off Church Street, opposite the Beijing Dragon Hotel. Road Race entrants are politely asked to enter the showground using the ORANGE entrance. This will enable us to reduce the congestion which we have seen in recent years.
